EnvisionRX Pulls out of Broker Market for PDP

EnvisionRx was quite competitive in 2019 for the 2020AEP season. We wrote hundreds of their plan in our office using their quirky Docusign method of selling over the phone. Now, they have announced that they are pulling out of the broker market. In an e-mail sent to FMO's and agents on July 29th, Envision said that they are legally notifying everyone of the termination of broker contracts, effective October 1, 2020. What is known, behind the scenes, it is known that they are re-branding to a company called Elixir for 2021 and will only be direct-to-consumer only. No brokers will be allowed to sell it. It is important to note that any agent who has sold Envision will continue to be paid on the renewals, and they will be offered. The agent must submit their AHIP, but no recertification is needed. We do not yet know what the Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) letters will look like for those currently with Envision and hope that it is not a drastic change in their previously-attractive Part D benefits, should they choose to do nothing and let it auto-renew. With all of our other Part D carriers, we are able to use the 100% automated self-enrollment tool for our clients and we try to use this with all of our T65's and current clients, too, during AEP. It has removed a tremendous administrative burden, as we simply send our clients to our website for their comparison, shopping, and self-enrollment. This includes Wellcare, Humana, Mutual of OmahaRx, Silverscript, and others. You can see a demonstration of this free, consumer-facing website where agents are not required to send a Scope of Appointment, conduct a presentation of any kind, or obtain any signatures, and yet still continue to make a full commission on each Part D or MAPD sale made through their free site.
