Humana Agent Focus Group

February 2020: Had an invitation to participate in a Humana Agent Focus Group today and took away a few insights both from Humana and other agents who are doing everything face-to-face. Here were my observations: Well, this was a shocker, as it happened in the middle of the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) and caused quite a stir with our surprised clients we had just enrolled. It is important that agents use the most recent applications in order to avoid any delays with the enrollment. Submitting an outdated application may result in a new application being required. Agencies and agents can order updated materials using this link. *Updated Sales Agent Field Guide – Attached is our most recent version of the Sales Agent Field Guide, and it is now an interactive PDF! *Med Supp Underwriting Reference Guide – also attached, this provides a general overview of the underwriting process, including excluded drugs and conditions. Both the Underwriting Guide and Sales Agent Field Guide can be found in Vantage as well. Plan G and High Deductible G Humana Medicare Supplement plans now available to sell Humana has recently received approval to offer and sell Plan G and/or Hi Deductible G in the following states effective immediately (except Wyoming – effective 2/1/2020): States now with Plans G and Hi-deductible G New States with Plan G New States that now have Hi-deductible G (already had Plan G) Alaska Missouri Alabama Arizona Connecticut Arkansas Georgia California Illinois Colorado Indiana Delaware Kansas District of Columbia Kentucky Hawaii Louisiana Idaho Michigan Iowa Mississippi Maine New York Maryland Ohio Montana Oklahoma Nebraska Pennsylvania Nevada South Carolina New Hampshire Tennessee New Mexico Utah North Carolina Washington North Dakota Oregon Rhode Island South Dakota Vermont West Virginia Wyoming Updates from the last email (1/17/2020): Going forward the majority of the email updates will contain rate renewal information.
