I recommend at least 12GB of RAM (I use 16GB of RAM) As for the computer.. You'll want Windows 10. It is now stable and handles all insurance company applications. The processor should be a minimum i5, although i7 is best and you should always try to buy the best/latest, as technology changes so fast. Do not get less than 8GB of RAM for the machine - 12 or 16 if you can find it. This is because the RAM holds the memory of all running programs, and you WILL be multitasking. Finally, the hard drive; don't get less than a 1TB hard drive. Anything less and you'll run out of space before you had to.. 1TB is really the bare minimum now. If you can find one with an SSD drive (solid state/flash drive), along with a hard drive, you'll be screaming fast!
