Radius Email Templates - This week will be adding and editing these. Please send any templates you are using that are not in the CRM yet. Kendall Renewal Agents - Accendo/Aetna Don’t let the client rattle you; come in to the appointment knowing they may be a little upset if they got a higher rate increase and know how to handle it Empathize with them on the rate increase they received and remind them that’s why we are here and offering these renewal appointments each year Provide a solution to the problem (if they can health qualify) Unfortunately, we don’t have a crystal ball and have to go off of historical rate increases when making recommendations. Not every year can be a perfect year for these companies. Even the larger, historically stable companies will have a higher rate increase yearly from time to time. We can’t predict when those may be; that’s why we emphasize the importance of reviewing your coverage every year. Sales Pitch: OM vs MAPD - As agents, we must stop grouping our leads into Medigap. When we do this, it does two things: i. Alienates the lead in thinking they only have one option & ii. When they find they can’t afford Medigap, they turn somewhere else, thinking that we can’t or don’t want to help with MAPD If we aren’t giving the leads all of their options, then we are doing an injustice to those reaching out to us for help. We can be generic about it, “Medicare has THOUSANDS of plans, but all of those plans fit into two categories, Medigap or MAPD. Medicare isn’t a one-size fits all, so let’s see what works best for the coverage you want and can afford to get you set up from there” Even for the leads coming into the call wanting (or thinking they want) Medigap, we should still make MAPDs known. “You’ve clearly done the research and are leaning towards Medigap, but I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t tell you about both sides of Medicare. Whichever path you choose at the end of the day, we can help you with it; we want to make sure you are making the most informed decision for yourself” Group MAPD Retirees - Retirees may opt into are not like normal MAPDs, and Trial Right is unavailable for these plans. If you are speaking with a lead considering a Group MAPD and thinking they can change in the first year using Trial Right, this is not the case, and they will have to health qualify in AEP or MAOEP to make that change. Active SEPs - Remember our Active SEP sheet, especially for anyone you would immediately think they can’t change. These states currently have SEPs in all counties: CA, FL, GA, KY, LA, MO, NJ, NM, NY, WI. CMS provides a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) for individuals affected by a weather-related emergency or major disaster who need to enroll in, disenroll from or switch Medicare health or prescription drug plans and have missed another enrollment period (i.e., either aging in or a SEP) due to the weather event. For those who qualify, the SEP begins on the first day of the incident period and runs for four (4) full months from the beginning of the incident period. New Lead Voicemail Sheet - I know that admins are calling through these, but it is our responsibility as agents to go through these as well. Phones are priority #1 in our office, so when agents are reaching out, these should be phone calls, not a quick email to say it’s been done and moving on. The statement above is also true for our lead follow-up. When we are doing lead follow-up, we should always call first, and if we cannot reach them, we can send an email/text. We are working on Lead Follow-up Templates, but we need to make sure that these aren’t used as the only way of following up with leads. Again, PHONES ARE #1 PRIORITY Cigna Applications - if an app doesn’t generate, we can’t do anything until 24 hours after it’s been submitted Temp ID Cards - Carriers that will give us a temp ID card: MOO, Fed Life, GPM, MLIC (DVH & supp), Allstate, Aetna for Cancer (not DVH) MOO Cancer Policy - doesn’t let you choose an effective date, it becomes effective upon approval Gabby Referral Gift Cards - We have had clients calling in asking where their referral gift cards are. Please let them know they will be coming and to be patient with us as we get caught up on them. LA Pro Accounts - Remember, we should only make LA Pro Accounts for MAPD/PDP Appointments and NY Leads. Besides that, we do not need to make additional accounts for other types of appointments/leads. Emailing Rates - Getting lead on the phone with an agent should always be the first choice. We should not be offering email quotes unless we are going to lose the lead.
