UA Webinar on using Screen Share

United American is a very traditional company. They still use the old I-Pipeline application online and the signature process for the client is frustrating, most often. However, this presentation (video below) by Dave Oliver hits some really good points on selling by phone and using screen share. Mikogo, as he goes over in his presentation, was the very first screen share program we used in 2008. Then, it required both the agent and the prospect to download a program. So, we switched to another one, TeamViewer, then eventually to Join.Me, and now, ScreenLeap, which is also included as part of the CRM we use, called Radius. This is covered in great detail on this page: Sell 100% By Phone Now, Mikogo is back in the market with a free version that does not require the client to download anything. That is great news! The considerations about your desktop background, other visible photos on your screen, etc. are really good points to remember before going onto a screen share. By the way, we use screen share in our office now in about 5% of cases, simply because it is not necessary the majority of the time. Their presentation about the holes in Medicare, as outlined in this webinar, is pretty good. In the real world, I would point out that the Excess Charges in their numbers are overdone by about 4,000% and their presentation is obviously an attempt to push folks into Plan F (which older folks can still buy), Plan G and their highlight, High-Deductible Plan F and High-Deductible Plan G. We find that United American is a good fit in states where the typical Medicare Supplement premiums are extremely high, like Florida, and the high deductible Med Supp still makes more sense than a restrictive Medicare Advantage plan with a Max Out of Pocket of $3,000 or $6,700. This is because Medicare is still paying 80% of the Part B charges on the high deductible plans and then the maximum out of pocket (for 2020) is $2,340. After that, everything is paid at 100% and still, the benefit exists of going to any hospital or doctor that accepts original Medicare.
